It has been recalled that several years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam was once invited to a town by his fellow clergymen during the blessed fasting month of Ramadan. At that time Imam had been residing in the holy city of Qom.
Imam’s fellow clerics had expected to take benefit of his lectures and recoendations.
But Imam told them to get busy with their duties and obligations of preaching among people and leave him alone.
By doing this, Imam wanted to preserve their dignity and position among local residents because they were the local spiritual leaders.
Imam, however, finally accepted to deliver a lecture to local people each evening during Ramadan.
