Unity is generally taken to mean harmony among elements, and the mechanisms which lead to unity are diversified depending upon the goal and environment which necessitates the cooperation and coordination among individuals, peoples, governments and leaderships.

There should not be any schism between the Sunnī and Shī‘ah.
